The Childhood Bereavement Network (CBN) is a national, multi-professional federation of organisations and individuals working with bereaved children and young people. It involves and is actively supported by all the major bereavement care providers in the UK.

Mission

The Childhood Bereavement Network seeks to ensure that all children and young people in the UK, together with their families and other caregivers, including professional carers, can easily access a choice of high-quality local and national information, guidance and support to enable them to manage the impact of death on their lives.

We aim

  • to develop the Childhood Bereavement Network as a mechanism, resource, partnership and advocate;
  • to improve the range and quality of bereavement support available to children and young people, their families and other caregivers, including professional carers,
  • to include the needs of minority ethnic children, disabled children and those with learning difficulties;
  • to increase access to information, guidance and support services.
