Saffron Walden is fully accessible to wheelchair users.
The Saffron Walden Wellbeing & Activity Centre was purpose built in 1992 for adults with a learning disability. Saffron Walden is an historic town, which is set in a picturesque and rural part of West Essex within undulating hills and valleys. All our customers have ‘Person Centered Action Plans' which identify their wishes and gives them a choice of community venues to attend and Centre based activities.
The building has many rooms for customer's use including:
- A sensory room
- Café and kitchen
- Training kitchen
- Large room for various activities including dance, music, drama, bingo.
The centre has arranged access for WEllbeing clients to art and cultural/social activities provided at the centre.
