Part 1: Overview

Income Support is extra money for those on a low income or none at all, who are working less than 16 hours a week and haven't signed on as unemployed.

You could get at least £56.25 a week if you have no income - the actual amount will depend on your circumstances and what you qualify for.

You can claim Child Tax Credit if you claim Income Support and have children.

Use the benefits adviser to work out what money you can get if you're on a low income.
