British Red Cross

Provides basic social care and practical support for up to 1 month following discharge for vulnerable people temporarily disabled by illness or an operation. Referrals are made to the team

during your stay in hospital. The Red Cross are also an integral part of the Accident and Emergency District Nurse Liaison Team and are able to give practical support for up to 48 hours.

We also provide some special equipment including wheelchairs and commodes for short-term hire. And a transport and escort service available. Care at Home - Sue Darley - service co-ordinator. Patsy Glasgow - assistant service co-ordinator.
