As the result of a legacy Age UK Carlisle and Eden is able to run an accessible luxurious self-catering Holiday Lodge at Thanet Well Park, near Greysoke, on the northern fringes of the Lake District. The lodge is run on a not-for-profit basis and prices are well below those for comparable commercial holiday accommodation, are inclusive of all fuel, bed linen, towels and the use of all equipment. Bookings can be made by those in a caring role who care for older people or a terminally ill or severely disabled person of any age. Staff and volunteers of the caring professions, who work in a caring role are also welcome to book the Lodge.
