Beat Transitions Project
This project is all about supporting young people in London who are affected by eating disorders during transitions – a time when they are at their most vulnerable.
When we talk about transitions we’re talking about a time of change in life which may include facing challenges and new experiences, this might be when a person with an eating disorder:

  • Moves between services e.g. Child and Mental Health Services (CAMHS) to Adult Mental Health Services (AMHS)
  • Leaves specialist treatment services
  • Is adapting to major life changes e.g. leaving school, starting university, work or living independently.
