A young carer is someone under the age of 18 who helps take care of a family member because they are ill, have a disability or have become frail with old age. Many young people don't see themselves as carers and may not realise there is practical and emotional support available in Essex.
We can provide you with information on:
- how to find out if you are a carer
- young carers assessments
- important facts to know
- group locations.
Caring for other people at home can affect how you feel, and how much free time you have. Here at Essex Young Carers you can find out what help is available and have fun networking with other young carers. Take a look at our pictures to see what we get up to.
