Drop-in sessions:

Parenting is never easy, and sometimes parents need advice and support. Mary Corbett, one of our Parent Support Workers runs a number of drop in sessions for parents. She is available to talk to parent's one to one, and can set up individual appointments or signpost them to groups with more specialist expertise. Mary runs a number of drop in sessions at different places throughout Essex.

Mary helps them to deal with issues such as sleeping issues, routines, boundaries and temper tantrums, giving parents the skills and support they need for the crucial early years.

Mary also runs a number of other parent support groups in the community, to help parents who are dealing with a wide range of problems. The aim of these groups is to help parents to get support for themselves, to share...

Mary also runs the ‘Strengthening Families' programme, which works intensively with both parents and their children. It is a seven week programme, with a three hour session each week, working with children aged from 10 - 14. It aims to help parents to set boundaries and encourage good behaviour, and to help the children to deal with stress and peer pressure, appreciate their parents and follow rules.
