Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) may affect as much as 1.5% of the population (Johnson et al, 2006). That’s just under 1 million people in the UK. At least a further 3.5% of the population may suffer from another dissociative disorder, which equates to a further 2 million people (see here for details of statistics). PODS exists to make recovery from dissociative disorders a reality through training, informing and supporting.
