Volunteering with Mind in West Essex
Without the help of our volunteers, Mind in West Essex would not be able to continue providing our high quality and wide-ranging services. We thank all of our volunteers for their valuable contributions and are keen to provide them with training to enhance their knowledge, skills and confidence. We are committed to making the volunteering experience rewarding, interesting and worthwhile.
Anyone with an interest in the work that we do can apply to volunteer with Mind in West Essex; we particularly welcome people with a lived experience of mental ill health as Peer Support Volunteers, who can make a great contribution to others on their journey of recovery in our Friendly Faces Social Spaces.
What volunteers can expect from Mind in West Essex:

To be safe at all times
To know who to contact for support or if you are having problem
To receive appropriate training where required
To receive regular feedback
Never to be out of pocket and to be reimbursed for any expenses you incur
What West Essex Mind will expect of you as a volunteer:
To be reliable and committed to your role
Agree to adhere to West Essex Minds policies and procedures
To be subject to a DBS check
To supply two references
To ask for help and support if and when needed
To be non-judgemental and non-discriminatory at all times
